The exhibition invites viewers to contemplate the challenges and opportunities present in transitions, and to celebrate the growth and self-discovery that can occur as we navigate life's inevitable.
“Change is the only constant.”
—Aphorism ascribed to Heraclitus of Ephesus (535-475 BCE)
From the chemigram series by Emily Swift demonstrates how the artistic process itself is a series of transitions, yielding unexpected and unique results to "LOST & FOUND" by Herm Freeman depicting a landscape in transition, reflecting the constant change present in nature. The meditative mandala compositions by Nichole Cantore use time and flight as metaphors for the magic of life's ever-changing yet cyclical journey. “Social Hour” by Eric Eric Kanigan explores how our perceptions can evolve from fear and prejudice to love and admiration, demonstrating the transformative power of empathy and understanding through pause and intentional seeking with photography.
Every artist in this exhibition invites viewers to contemplate the universality of transition. It recognizes the challenges and opportunities present in change, and ultimately celebrates the growth and self-discovery that can occur as we navigate life's inevitable transitions.
"The future is always all around us, waiting, in moments of transitions, to be born in moments of revelation. No one knows the shape of that future or where it will take us. We know only that it is always born in pain."
- J. Michael Straczynski
