The Story

A Mill Building Finds a Second Life

The Knowlton was built to work: timber beams, steel windows, a floor that carried a century of Bridgeport industry. Today it carries a wedding under string light, a muralist at work in daylight, a gallery opening with the water going gold behind it.

Fairfield County has plenty of ballrooms. It has one Knowlton.
